CALLING ALL ARTISTS!
THE FOOD SHOW – LP March 2016
We invite all artists to submit their artwork and help us to create a synesthetic experience. Art is the ground where the desires can be expressed; we want to be the observers of your lasciviousness for food, of your overstimulated thoughts about how, what and when to eat.Let your senses get stimulated over unctuous pastel colors and gluttonous shapes. A unique exhibition that will take place during March at Local Project Gallery Space.
Expect a month full of happenings, performance, readings and dinners, Buon Appetite!!!
Local Project is now accepting submissions for The Food Show, a unique experience that will turn all your senses ON.
OPENING : Wednesday March 2nd
DEADLINE TO SUBMIT: Friday February 19th
Notification: Feb 20-21
The show runs until March 31st
Video, photography, sculpture, painting, drawing and mixed media are welcome.*
Artwork must be original and come from you – the artist. (no digital reproductions).
There is no entry fee to submit your work. Accepted artists pay a hanging fee of $30, by cash, check or paypal. Hanging fees go directly toward the expenses of the exhibition and the reception.
Work must be ready to hang ie; frames or wired -Size Limit to 20” x 24” and prices between $100-$500.
Please submit up to 5 images, include title, year, dimension, material, and price along with submissions and embed title in jpeg to opencall@localproject.org.
Jpegs must not exceed 2mb.
Local Project takes a 25% if your work is sold. Sales will be finalized at the end of each exhibition.
This exhibition will be Juried by LP curatorial team.
Once notified, you will be guided to drop off and you will be given payment details.
Artists are responsible for the drop off and pick up of artwork. any artwork left without notice for more than a week after end of the show at LP will not be our responsibility.
