Hi everyone,
During this very difficult time, Local Project stands in solidarity against racism, hate, violence, and exclusion of any kind. All are welcome at Local Project. Now, more than ever art and culture will be a vehicle for awareness and change in society so it is important that we do all we can to continue our mission to be a platform of expression and provide a space for sharing voices in all all forms of expression.
To continue to stay in our space in LIC, Local project is asking for your help to make this possible. Your support will make this possible while we navigate the crisis that the world is in. LP is an all volunteer run gallery space that has a tireless team consisting of an Executive Director, and 6 Board members who work very hard to keep Local Project going. We recently downsize by two thirds so we can manage the future of our gallery with less financial pressure. Our programming is dynamic and includes artists, curators, performers, & patrons of all kinds. We are a safe and accepting community of artists and friends that has been in LIC, Queens for 17 years , and we want to continue as the spirit of our community lives here.
