Hopscotch brings together six artists whose works originate from a desire to dismantle creative, personal or social realms to in return constitute alternative modes of representation and comprehension of art. Intervening into established systems and aesthetic standards—physically or metaphorically—these artists deconstruct and rebuild assumptions, systems or habits that prevail our existence. Through disruption, intervention, and reformation, the works question the role of an artist as a social analyst. Organized by Osman Can Yerebakan, the exhibition brings together work by Michael Blake, Rachel Granofsky, Joyce Kim, Daniel Kukla, Iz Oztat, and Ryan Russo.
This program is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council
