Conveniently located near several subway stations on one of the side streets of PS1 MoMA, Local Project Art Space is available for rental periods up to 1 month and can be rented on a daily or weekly basis.
This storefront-gallery-event space features a garage roll down door for security when closed, wood and concrete floors, most of the walls are exposed brick and give the space a raw old school environment; wooden ceiling beams, a skylight, tables and a DJ booth. The front gallery space is perfect for hanging artwork. Local Project is equipped with basic A/V equipment to use upon request and a sound booth built from re-purposed wooden pallets.
Local Project does not possess a liquor license, but you may offer drinks by concession. We do not rent out space for large noisy parties or concerts. The most ideal uses of our space are, exhibitions, presentation, workshops, lectures, screening and private parties.
* Rates are negotiable for nonprofit/artist groups rentals.
Studio Rentals – LP has a number of artist studio spaces and shared work spaces for rent.
