About the artists

Lizbeth Ortiz
Lizbeth “Azul Frida” Ortiz graduated from HSPVA/Houston and attended Pratt Institute/NYC.
She has developed a singular style by utilizing recycled materials, various modeling pastes and gels into all of her art. “I love texture; I feel it is the perfect exclamation mark to create emotions, colors and memories.” Her work is both delicate in execution and strong in visual impact.

Currently she lives in Houston where “I follow my creative heart, making art, curating shows, and serving as art director at East End Studio Gallery.

The art of Blue 130
“…Tastes like Candy and Kicks like Whiskey.” Is the best way to describe the work of self taught artist Blue One Thirty. Her style has something for everyone, and is heavily influenced by so many things, especially her graffiti background, tattoo apprenticeship, and pop culture. Blue’s whimsical illustrative art often incorporates textile elements, layered cutouts, and anything her imagination cooks up.

New Jersey born Blue currently lives in Houston creating art, and curating events at East End Studio Gallery with her mentor, Lizbeth Ortiz.
