WE MARCH – OPEN CALL


Local Project is proud to announce our open call in response to the cancellation of this year’s Gay Pride Parade. With all the turmoil that is currently taking place nationally, we can not forget the struggle and fight for gay rights and representation. Wherever you stand upon the rainbow flag or in the history of Pride, we invite you to apply to this inclusive exhibition.

The exhibition, WE MARCH, will be located at the newly redesigned Local Project Art Space. The exhibition will also exist on our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc)
Guidelines:
Deadline to submit: June 14th
Notification: By June 18th
Opening: TBD, (tentatively, Thursday June 25th)
Submissions may include:
Photography
Sculpture
Painting
Drawing
Mixed media
Size Limit to 30” x 40”

Please submit up to 3 images (as attachments) Including: title, year, dimension, media, price, Instagram handle, and preferred pronoun in a single email.

Work must be ready to hang ie; frame, rings, wired, etc at the time of drop off

There is no entry fee to submit your work. 
Accepted artists will be asked to pay a hanging fee of $30, by cash, check, Venmo, or PayPal. Hanging fees go directly toward the expenses of the exhibition and the reception. Considering the times we live in, the gallery will be open on Wednesday & Thursday by appointment only and Friday and Saturdays from noon – 6pm (if Phase 2 is in place)

FINE PRINT: Local Project takes a 25% if your work is sold. Sales will be finalized at the end of each exhibition. This exhibition will be juried and curated by our board member Juan Hinojosa. Once selected, you will be notified about drop off dates and payment details. Artists are responsible for the drop off and pick up of artwork in a safely manor, wearing a mask.
