Franklin Fisher:
Franklin Fisher was born in Jacksonville, NC and grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA. After studying and travelling around Europe for a number of years, Franklin relocated to New York in order to pursue music full time. He defines his music as an attempt to reconcile elements oftraditional African-American music like Gospel, Blues and Negro Spirituals with the energy of post-punk, hip hop and electronic music. As a short-hand, he refers to what he does as ‘postmodern gospel.
